Are you missing a trick? Let’s talk chit-chat.

Hello? Are you listening?

When engaging with your customers, do you often wonder if they’re paying attention? I hear you saying ‘OMG Megan, how did you know!?’ - and that’s totally okay, the social algorithm these days can be a tricky one to navigate. BUT, the bigger question is - Are you missing opportunities to engage with your customers on a more personal level?

So how do you improve the chit-chat? Let’s talk about it.

Trick one: Wear your customers shoes

Not literally, but take a moment to pretend you’re your own customer and ask yourself:

  • How easy am I to get in touch with?

  • What ways am I hearing from you?

  • Where can I find you?

  • What are you telling me?

Trick Two: Lead the way & make it easy!

Your website landing page introduces you to your customer. It’s here that you MUST, MUST, MUST guide your customer to contact you. How?

  • Calls to actions throughout

  • Link directly to your contact page

  • Ensure your footer includes all your contact details (example below of course)

Trick Three: Pop-up and say hello

This one is MASSIVE! Add a pop-up or sign up subscription form to your website landing page. Yes, they might something be a bit annoying, but I guarantee you - they work!

  • Unsure how to? Book your Website Audit now and we can help get your pop-up live!

Trick Four: E-newsletters and the truth tellers

Here’s the truth - every time someone fills out a contact form on your website or subscribe to your mailing list (because you’ve set up your pop-up - you’re welcome), they WANT to hear frm you! These people are your hype girls/ guys - think of it as their way of saying:

  • ‘I love what you’re doing’

  • ‘This is awesome’

  • ‘Yes please, tell me more!’

Why bother with E-newsletters I hear you ask - Keep reading!

Trick 5: Whisper sweet nothings

Your online databse is growing (thanks to pop-ups and calls to action on your website) - now it’s time to engage with your customers with more of a personal touch. Newsletters offer you a change to:

  • Connect on a more intimate level with your customers

  • Share updates, new product launches, and events

  • Say thank you for signing up

  • and most importantly - drive traffic back to your website and socials

It’s about keeping the conversation going!
